1. Overview of Traffic Weather Monitoring Stations
ASHUR-RWOS traffic weather monitoring station (weather detector or total element weather detector) mainly uses comprehensive acquisition control technology, computer software technology, communication technology and other technologies to integrate a variety of weather sensors from structure to system composition. It can continuously obtain meteorological and road condition information along the traffic line, and can conduct real-time detection of multiple meteorological environment factors of the highway such as visibility, current weather phenomena, wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, road surface conditions, road surface temperature, wet slip coefficient, etc., through remote The transmission completes the summary of various types of data and transmits it to the transportation department in a timely manner, providing manual data for the transportation-related departments to provide traffic meteorological support services along the route. Based on this, it can provide timely weather information for the highway safety authorities and people's travel services.
The weather detection instruments used in traffic weather monitoring stations include: ASHUR-VD920A visibility detector or ASHUR-VD930A visibility weather phenomenon detector, ASHUR-MWS600 small ultrasonic automatic weather station (temperature, humidity, wind, pressure and rain integrated weather station), ASHUR-RD3000 Laser remote sensing road condition detectors, etc. also include: special comprehensive meteorological data collectors, column support structures, power supply communication control boxes and other units.
2. Traffic Weather Monitoring Station Functions
(1) It can remotely sense visibility, atmospheric temperature, atmospheric humidity, wind direction, wind speed, air pressure, rainfall, and remote sensing road conditions (road conditions: dry, wet, frost, water, snow, ice, Ice-water mixture, etc.) and current weather conditions: fog (light fog, fog, thick fog), rain (light rain, moderate rain, heavy rain), snow (light snow, moderate snow, heavy snow), mixed precipitation (sleet), none Meteorological elements such as precipitation are monitored around the clock;
(2) Automatically collect data on various meteorological elements, perform preprocessing and algorithm processing on the collected data, perform relevant statistics on the collected data to form minute-by-minute values, and store them in the memory of the observation station;
(3) Automatically upload monitoring data: the upload frequency is 1 minute;
(4) Provide communication methods such as RS232, RS485, RJ45 network port or GPRS wireless.
3. Characteristics of Traffic Weather Monitoring Stations
(1) The equipment adopts a modular assembly structure design, which is compact and small. Each sensor is small in size, light in weight and easy to install.
(2) Photoelectric measurement technology is used to measure visibility, current weather phenomena and road surface conditions. Complete remote sensing measurement does not require damage to the road surface, saving time, effort and maintenance.
(3) The road condition monitoring instrument is easy to install: it is designed with a red laser pointer to conveniently indicate and locate the measurement area;
(4) Ultrasonic measurement technology is used to measure wind speed and direction. It has no moving parts and is completely maintenance-free for long-term measurement, adapting to the harsh environment of highways.
(5) The structural material of each sensor is high-quality hard aluminum, with anodized passivation treatment on the surface and multi-pass painting protection; all screws are corrosion-resistant stainless steel screws; the inside of the shell is sealed and reaches IP65 protection. Grade, with adaptability to harsh weather in the wild.
(6) System power consumption is low, less than 10W. It can be powered by 220V AC mains power or 12VDC solar power.
(7) The system has lightning protection measures, and its communication interface and power interface have lightning protection designs, which can reduce lightning damage to a minimum.
