2. Product Overview

ASHUR-DP900 Laser Disdrometers operates on the principle of laser active detection, enabling continuous observation of the dimension, speed, and number of precipitation particles. This capability allows for the deduction of particle size distribution, precipitation amount, precipitation type, visibility, and radar scattering factor (dBz value), facilitating the differentiation between various forms of precipitation such as drizzle, rain, mixed rain/snow, hail, snow, and mixed precipitation. The instrument is characterized by its sensitivity and accuracy, making it suitable for long-term, maintenance-free field use. It finds primary applications in fields such as transportation, hydrology, meteorology, and water conservancy. Furthermore, it holds significant potential for diverse applications, including the assessment of human-induced weather modification, raindrop spectrum and fog observation, calibration of the Z/R factor in rain-measuring and weather radars, precipitation measurement, and scientific research into precipitation processes.

3. Product Function

1) Using laser detection technology, using two-dimensional particle size and velocity distribution to analyze the complex precipitation process, quickly and accurately detect the number of precipitation particles, particle size, falling speed, etc., and can deduce the precipitation drop spectrum, precipitation type, precipitation intensity, radar reflectance, etc.;

2) Unique intelligent heating function, prevent the window fog, frost disturbances, effectively control the heating energy consumption;
